Text and work: Doerthe Fuchs.
…. It was not an impressionistic illusion . At this point the seabed was indeed full of brightly colored pieces of glass … rejected from the glass blowers …more easily thrown out of the window and into the sea than retuned to the furnac.
Left to the tide and slowly reverting to sand.
Simply with a child`s dinghy , goggles and holding my nose I dived and retrieved some of these real treasures.
Doerthe is a jewellery artist full of stories, which she subtly tells through her work.
She collects, combines and creates ; there is nothing she does not consider to be of value in her pursuit of beauty.
